Visit to Colorado. We got to spend a little over two weeks in Colorado with Jed’s family. It was a great time of catching up, playing games, and showing off our son! We were also able to see a a few friends’ weddings which was great to witness. During our time, one of the Colorado fires could be seen from Jed’s family’s house. Though the fire doesn’t have the fuel to get to Loveland, many people who live in the mountains have been affected. We would like everyone to keep Colorado in your prayers.
Divine Connections. God has put some extremely cool connections in our path lately. Through truly a divine series of meetings through friends and friends-of-friends, God has recently connected us with a pastor and his small church. This church has been searching for a missionary to support for quite some time. Ideally, they wanted to find someone going to Cambodia, working in Sex Trafficking, while also training up future Missionaries—in other words, us “to a T.” What’s more, they also want to send teams and work with mobilizing their youth into missions!! How cool is that? We connected with them last week and will be speaking to the church next week. We are excited!
Just a few days later, Kayla was contacted by a friend’s family she hadn’t seen in years. This family was having a friend over that is a missionary in Cambodia, and they invited us to come along to connect with her. When we arrived, we met Esther, the missionary, who is a Kenyan. With Jed’s ministry to train up Cambodian’s up for missions, what a divinely appointed opportunity for him to talk to a Kenyan missionary in Cambodia! Needless to say, she and Jed were already scheming ways to work together to get Cambodians on the field like her. God is continually confirming that we are headed in the right direction. Thanks again, friends for your prayers and support!
