Getting ready to impact the world from Colorado
Sitting… in an old ‘70s-hotel-restaurant-turned-Christian-café, the dark wood, green wallpaper, and gold railings reminded me of a Western Saloon. To my right was a window wherein one could see Pike’s Peak, front and center. Across from me was my soon-to-be supervisor, Bevin Ginder, whom any person could see his joyful demeanor with just one glance. Yet his attitude was even more exuberant from the conversation we were having—mobilizing people for missions.
In that first conversation with him, it was apparent that Kayla and I share the same vision and passion that YWAM Strategic Frontiers in Colorado Springs (YWAM SF) has. We want to mobilize and multiply the global body of Christ to reach the least reached, and bring restoration to victims of injustice. This is very similar to YWAM SF’s mission statement
Start of a Beautiful Friendship.
With this vision that we have stayed with from New Zealand, to Cambodia, and now to Colorado Springs, we are more excited than ever to see what God will do in and through us. I will be working with Bevin to re-pioneer the mobilization department, using multi-media, teaching, discipleship, and other methods to inspire christians around the world to complete the Great Commission. Kayla will be helping redevelop Cambodia as a focus nation for YWAM SF, which could include awareness seminars and trips to Cambodia. We will both also be teaching on a DTS in Asia this summer, and hopefully Cambodia later on this year.
Expanding our Team.
As this year is coming to a close, we wanted to also take this time to inform you of some changes in our ministry next year. Though both Kayla and I are still continuing to pursue the same ministries of equipping people for Missions and reaching out to women of injustice with YWAM, we will be doing so out of a new location.
